Rhodes Old Town
The Medieval Quarter of Rhodes is not only one of the areas protected by UNESCO, but it also is the oldest inhabited medieval town in Europe. Now the principal city of the island, it is usually bursting with activity and interesting sights. The island’s location between European, Asian, but also African coasts is the source of the city’s varied and colourful history, architecture and culture.
