Step-by-Step: The Headband Braid

Braids have been all the rage lately, and the headband braid is a great style when you don’t want to commit to a full updo. Here’s how you get the effortlessly stylish look we all crave!

1. SIDE PART
Start by brushing the front section of your hair into a deep side parting - the section should run from one ear to the other.

2. FRENCH BRAID
Now for your French braid: Separate your hair into three even sections. Begin creating a traditional braid, but then gradually start to add more hair into your braid by collecting hair from either side as you cross-over the three strands. Continue, pulling the loops tight as you extend the braid across your head.

3. SECURE
Finish it off as a traditional braid again. Then, secure the braid with a hair tie.

4. FLUFF
Pull and fluff up your braid into a more relaxed shape using your fingers or the back of a comb.

5. SET IT
Finally pin the end of your braid under a section of hair and then set it with hair spray.
