FEVER TRIGGER #1: NO TIME TO REST
REMEDY: CREATE SPECIAL MOOD AT HOME
In order to make my place cozy and relaxing I fill it with houseplants. Greenery can not only revitalize a space but also purify the air — and they’re also helpful in generating a more relaxing, restful ambiance in any room. Sentenced candles are another element which is commonly found in my home, vanilla and cinnamon is some of my favorites!
FEVER TRIGGER #2: TOO MUCH FAST FOOD
REMEDY: EAT SMART
Tight schedule may put your menu at risk making you reach for unhealthy snacks and fast food, which can only add “lose some weight” point on your resolution list for the next year and make you feel bad about yourself. When time speeds up, it’s better to eat smart: make your food satisfying, nutritious and easy to prepare. And there is nothing more regenerating than a plate of hot soup on a chilly day. It will put you back on your feet in an instant. Check this recipe:
IGELOSA HOT POWER SOUP
4 servings:
• 80 gram natural balance soup tomato & basil powder
• 2 teaspoons Rapeseed oil
• 1 Yellow Onion, thinly sliced
• 2 cloves Garlic, chopped
• 3 Tomatoes, chopped
• 1 teaspoon Salt
• ½ teaspoon Black Pepper
• 1 liter Water
• 1 tablespoon per person cooked Beans and Green Peas
• Dark leafy greens, such as Spinach or Bok Choy
HOW TO MAKE IT?
Heat oil over high heat in a small pot. Add onion and garlic and cook until fragrant and slightly browned, about 5 minutes. Add tomatoes, salt and pepper and cook until tomatoes give out their juice (you may need to press them down with the back of a spoon to help out), about 5 more minutes. Add the Natural Balance powder to boiling water and bring to simmer together with the rest of ingredients, adjust seasoning as needed. Place cooked beans, peas and greens in the bottom of each bowl and top with hot soup.

To learn how to be in the moment as well as prioritizing your alone time is something challenging for most of us- however crucial to master for our wellbeing. I always try to set aside time for my exercise routine which helps me to reflect and stress down after a hectic day. I often invite friends to join for a run or a longer walk together, it is more fun together!
FEVER TRIGGER #4: CROWDS AND CAROLS EVERYWHERE
REMEDY: BEFRIEND ONLINE SHOPPING
Hunting for presents in the shopping mall can sometimes be more tiring than running a marathon. It is not only the distance you cover wandering around but all the noise surrounding you: Christmas music – different in every shop, never ending queues which make you end up with even more unwanted stuff and those heavy bags that seem to challenge your fitness skills. Now picture all this vs shopping on a comfy couch with a laptop and a mug of hot tea in hand… Even if you prefer to buy offline, make a preselection of products online – you and your wallet will feel much better!
FEVER TRIGGER #5: FALLING BEHIND THE SCHEDULE
REMEDY: EXERCISE YOUR MIND
Not keeping up with your agenda at work and home is something that triggers a lot of stress which is hard to release. Firstly, think that you’re not alone with all this, everybody struggles with their duties at this time of the year. This kind of thinking that it’s not just you will make you feel more confident. Secondly, learn some breathing techniques that will help your body ease unnecessary tensions and oxygenate your mind so that you can focus better. Vitamins and minerals will additionally strengthen the effect. Thirdly, make a realistic plan of what has to be done before Christmas, once you write it all down you will see that it is not the end of the world and your mind will figure a way to tick all points off.
