A Day Spent with a Star: Anna Dereszowska

She is an actress, singer, Oriflame’s ambassador, charity supporter and above all – a mom. Anna Dereszowska shares her everyday life with us and inspires how to chase your dreams.

1. Summerize quickly your day for us
I am always on the go. If I had a pedometer I think I would get some impressive results (laughter). But of course, every mom runs this marathon. You have to get your kids ready for school, go to work, cook dinner, do the laundry, go shopping and play with your kids. I also like to go swimming, play tennis, ride a bike or go jogging. My schedule is rather flexible, which has its pros and cons. Sometimes I can sleep longer, but sometimes I need to be on the set at 5 or 6 am. There are days I am in the recording studio for 4-5 hours and that’s it but when I have a show, I come back home after all day absence, around 10 pm.

2. What gives you power every day?
I get it from my relatives, my kids. Their joy, laughter, smile and love let me do the impossible. When they hug me, all worries disappear (laughter). I am also a naturally optimistic person. To me, the glass is always half-full.

3. What makes you feel beautiful?
I learned to love and accept myself, just like I am. I don’t worry about how my lips, legs or nose look like. Like I said, I do sports and every kilometre that I run, swim or cycle gives me millions of endorphins that make me feel happy and boost my energy. I also keep my beauty routines – I use face masks, cleanse, pamper, moisturize and nourish my skin. From time to time, I also go for a massage to one of my favourite SPA salons. I pay attention to what I buy and eat, I search for trusted providers and read the labels. I know it’s a lot, but I managed to develop healthy habits (laughter).

4. Is being independent important to you? What does it give you?
Independence always meant freedom to me. Of course we have lots of responsibilities every day but as long as we feel good at a certain place, with certain people and under certain circumstances - we are free. Independence is also a financial matter to me. I could not ask my man to finance my needs. I like to work and manage my own money.

5. What advice would you give to women who wish to be independent also in professional life?
I believe that every woman has her intuition that guides her. Not every woman has to run a company and manage people. However, every woman wants to do the job she loves and wants to be appreciated for it. Professional independence can be achieved only when we do not focus only on one activity. Today, no job can make you feel secure. That’s why it is always advisable to look for some alternative sources of income. In my opinion, Oriflame gives women a unique opportunity to be professionally independent. Maybe that’s is why it is so successful all over the world?

6. What would you wish your female fans on this special day?
I wish them to have the strength to take on challenges and face adversities, to never stop dreaming and to have the courage to fulfil those dreams. And above all, I wish them to love themselves for what they are.
